今日はそんな、食べたものが便になるまでの時間、健康的な便を出すためにはどうしたら良いのかをお伝えしていきます。

食べたものが便になるまでの時間は、口から食物が入り、便として肛門から排泄されるまでの時間の事を指します。
食べたものは口から胃に移動し、小腸、大腸を通り便になるのですが、
その合計時間は約24〜48時間かかることになります。
ただし、個人差があり、食物繊維の多い食品を摂取すると便通が早くなることがあります。
また、消化器官に問題がある場合は、この時間が長くなることがあります。
食べ物が便になるまでの過程
以下は、通常の成人の場合、食べたものが消化され、便になるまでの時間の一般的な目安です。
1.口から食物を取り入れる
口から食べ物が入ってから、胃に入るまでの時間は約6〜8秒です。
消化に良いとされる理想的な咀嚼回数
消化に良い理想的な咀嚼回数は、食物の種類によって異なりますが、一般的には20～30回程度が推奨されています。
十分に咀嚼することによって、食物を細かく砕き、
唾液中の消化酵素の働きを促進し、胃腸の負担を減らすことができます。
また、ゆっくりと咀嚼することで、食べ物をゆっくりと食べることができ、過剰な食べ過ぎを防ぐことができます。
2.胃での消化にかかる時間
食べ物が胃に入った後、胃酸や消化酵素により分解され、約2〜4時間で小腸に移動します。
胃で消化されやすい食べ物とは
胃で消化されやすい食べ物には、消化酵素が豊富な柔らかい食材や消化しやすい炭水化物が含まれます。
例えば、白米や小麦粉、鶏肉や魚などが挙げられます。
また、消化を助けるために良質な食物繊維が含まれる野菜や果物も消化しやすい食べ物として知られています。
ただし、個人差や体調によっても食べ物の消化に影響が出る可能性があるため、
適度な量やバランスの良い食事を心がけることが大切です。
3.小腸で栄養吸収・消化されるのにかかる時間
小腸での消化と栄養の吸収には、約6〜8時間かかります。
「胃」での消化と「小腸」での消化の違い
胃での消化は主に酸と酵素によって行われます。
胃液に含まれる酸は、タンパク質を分解するために必要な酵素の活性を高めます。
また、胃液に含まれるペプシンという酵素は、タンパク質をペプチドに分解します。
一方、小腸での消化は、胆汁と膵液によって行われます。
胆汁は脂肪を分解し、膵液に含まれる酵素は炭水化物、タンパク質、脂肪の消化を助けます。
小腸の壁には、これらの酵素が働くための微小な突起物である線毛があります。
線毛は、消化された栄養素を吸収するための表面積を増やし、消化と吸収を効率的に行うことができます。
4.小腸の次にはどこに行くのか
小腸での消化が完了すると、残りの未消化物は大腸に移動します。
大腸に到達する直前の「食べたもの」の状態
大腸に到達する直前の食べ物は、消化管を通過し、小腸から大腸に移行する段階にあるものです。
この時点で、食べ物は消化酵素によって分解され、栄養素は吸収されています。
大腸に到達する直前の食べ物は、水分が多く、消化されにくい残り物や食物繊維が含まれています。
これらの物質は、大腸内の腸内細菌によって発酵され、腸内環境を整えるとともに、
便の形成や排泄に重要な役割を果たします。
5.大腸で水分吸収され、便の形成が行われる
大腸での水分の吸収と便の形成には、約12〜24時間かかります。
あまり知られていない大腸の重要な働き
大腸は、消化管の一部であり、主に水分や電解質の吸収と未消化物質の排出を担当しています。
大腸は、小腸からの未消化の食物、細菌、水分、電解質などを受け取り、便の形成を促進します。
また、大腸は、便の腸管内運動を促進し、便を直腸に移動させます。
最終的に、直腸と肛門で便が排出されます。
大腸は、人体にとって非常に重要な器官の一つであり、正常な消化と排泄を維持するために必要不可欠です。
「便秘」の症状と原因
食べたものが上手く便として排泄されない原因として、「便秘」が挙げられます。
では、便秘の原因とは何なのでしょうか？
便秘の原因はさまざまですが、主な原因としては以下のようなものが挙げられます。
1. 食生活の乱れ：
食物繊維不足や脂肪や糖分の摂り過ぎなどが原因となることがあります。
2. 水分不足：
十分な水分を摂らないことで、便が硬くなり排便が困難になります。

運動不足によって腸の動きが悪くなり、便秘の原因となることがあります。
4. ストレス：
ストレスが腸の動きを鈍らせ、便秘を引き起こすことがあります。
5. 薬の副作用：

「便を育てる」という考えかた
ここまでで、食べたものが便になるまで約24〜48時間かかることと、「便秘」についてお伝えしてきました。
では、理想的な便とはどんなものなのでしょうか？
それについて解説していきます。
理想的な便の色と形
健康な便の形は、長さが約10〜20センチメートルで、太さが指2本分の太さ程度であることが理想的です。
表面は滑らかで、形状はI（アイ）字型であることが望ましいです。
色は茶色で、一般的には淡い茶色から濃い茶色の範囲にあります。
健康な便は、臭いが少なく、排便時に痛みや不快感を感じないことが望ましいです。
ただし、個人によって便の形や色には個人差があり、食事や健康状態によっても変化する場合があります。
便の水分量について
理想的な便の水分量は70％～80％程度です。
これが80％～90％程度になると軟便、90％を超えると、水っぽい下痢便の状態になります。
通常、1日に約1.5〜2リットルの水を飲むことが推奨されます。
適切な水分摂取量を確保することで、腸内の水分量が増加し、便が理想的な軟らさになります。
また、食物繊維を豊富に含む食品を摂取することも、便の水分量を調節するのに役立ちます。
食物の水分量に関して
炊飯後の白米：60％～65％
食パン：60％以下
うどん：28％～33％
きゅうり：96％
ピーマン：93％
チキンステーキ：60％
理想的な便の水分量は70％～80％程度なので、
並べてみると野菜を覗くほとんどの食物が食べた時よりも便になった時の方が水分を含んでることが分かります。
「便秘の人は水分を摂取することが少ない」と言われている通り、
理想的な便を作り出すためには食物以外から水分を摂取することが望ましいと言えます。
便秘解消効果が期待できる食べ物
便秘解消に効果的な食べ物には、食物繊維が豊富な野菜や果物、穀物が挙げられます。
例えば、キャベツ、ほうれん草、にんじん、リンゴ、バナナ、キウイフルーツ、玄米などが良いでしょう。
また、水分摂取も大切なので、水やお茶なども積極的に飲みましょう。
ただし、突然食物繊維を多く摂りすぎると逆にお腹を壊すこともあるので、徐々に摂取量を増やすようにしましょう。
また、運動やストレッチなども便秘解消に効果的です。
